Nationwide Building Society current account

Nationwide’s main current account is called the “FlexAccount”, and is the main platform for tapping into other financial services from the building society, not least special rates on mortgages, loans, and insurance.
The account comes with a Visa debit card as standard, but you can apply for a Nationwide credit card to run alongside the accounts.
Interest Rates
At the present time, the Nationwide Flexaccount does not offer interest on savings.
Account charges
UK electronic transfer (CHAPS) £20 each time
Electronic transfer to overseas account (SWIFT) £20 each time
Charge for an unpaid Direct Debit, standing order, bill payment or regular transfer when you do not have enough cleared funds £30 each time
Third party foreign currency charges 1.00% of the transaction amount + bank charges
A copy of one paper statement £5
Copies of two or more paper statements £10
Copies of cheques £5 for each cheque
Charge for cheques guaranteed when you do not have enough cleared funds £21.50 each time
Charge for an unpaid cheque when you do not have enough cleared funds £30 each time
Overdraft rate
Overdraft rate (applied to whole overdrawn balance) 18.90% EAR
Unauthorised overdraft charge £20 a month
