Alliance & Leicester offers £100 for new current accounts
According to a report at This is Money, the Alliance and Leicester is offering a £100 bonus to new sign-ups for its current account.
Apparently, this applies a policy already run by parent company Santander on its own current accounts, but will certainly be welcome news for some none-the-less:

LloydsTSB today launches a new offering which gives its current account customers a 0.2% reduction on its mortgage interest rates. This is available to any LloydsTSB current account customers who deposit £1,000 or more each month and are taking out a new LloydsTSB mortgage.

Lloyds Group offers mortgage discount to current account holders
The Lloyds Group this week offered a special incentive to current account holders – an extra 0.2% off their Lloyds mortgage rates.
However, the incentive only applies to those putting more than £1,000 each month into their Lloyds current account, which seems especially restrictive.
